Ingredients

  • onions
  • garlic
  • lardons
  • canned black beans
  • thyme
  • bay leaf
  • tomato paste
  • stock

Method

  1. begin by frying off the lardons until browned
  2. add the onions and begin to cook down
  3. add the garlic and cook until brown
  4. add the herbs and tomato paste and cook for 2 mins
  5. add the black beans (including any liquid) and the stock
  6. leave on a low heat for at least 1.5 hours
